Win2k + Update = Major slow down?

Acoording to tests ive run im down about 20% since this new windows update.

As i said in the title im running windows 2000. Is there any way to reverse this update, or any other advice in fixing this?

It probably depends on the update. Maybe a new service installed in the background, and is hogging system resources.

I have never come across an update that has done this though.

Most Windows Updates can be removed via Add/Remove Programs. The problem is that by removing an update, some or all of the software that's been installed since installing the Windows Update may be affected.
