Language programs

I've taken German for 5 years and am tired of it. No offenses to anyone. I'm ready for something new. I am thinking about arabic. I currently am in college and am very interested in working for the government at this time. Arabic is a good foot in the door. Could anyone please tell me if they have any good software out there to help people learn? Thanks a lot.

why would the methods of learning Arabic be any different from those used to learn German or any other language.

Study the vocab. once you've build your vocab. You will than have a smoother transition with structuring sentences, paragraphs etc.

However, you will find the pronunciation to be most frustrating.
