The golden orb can provide ok cooling, but I think u should get some other cooler, because what I've heard the orbs are CPU killers, if u aren't VERY careful when installing and removing this cooler.
If u want to hit the gig, u will need to get something like an Alpha, or a FOP38.

I wouldn't recommend trying the gorb on the duron, after the horror stories I have heard about crushed cores on cpu's....

Good coolers are cheap anyway.... you can get a Globalwin or a Taisol for like $22 if you look in the right place. Even a PEP66 will only set you back $33 or so.... it's worth the investment to protect your CPU.

Your GORB is for socket 370 boards only. Please don't put it on the socket A board. :)

thanx dudes,
wont try it, i dont really want to hurt the defensless duron,

i will see how far my cpu will post, then if it will post at gig then i'll buy a new hsf, because there is no point on buying a hsf if the duron wont post giga ;)

the FOP38, Hedge Hog, Swifttech, thermoengine, and torsol heatsinks are all good

The better cooling might actually allow you to post and run at a gig. The difference in better cooling really makes the overclock.
