A friend of mine wants to build a system without going to a show and picking up a cpu there. OTOH he's willing to spring for a 1200TBird or even a 1330 if need be.

So are all 1200/1330s AXIA?

If yours is not AXIA, please post code and purchase date or manufacturing date if available?

Thanks

Yo

On second thought I am also wondering, whether the 1000/266s are encoded AXIA here: http://forums2.overclockers.ws/forums/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Read&BID=2&TID=8929&SID=50276

We are getting some 1.3/266 chips in tomorrow. If any of them are other than AXIA I plan to let Ed know.

Acting on the hunch that 1G 266 T-birds may also be AXIA, I ordered one today. It should be here in a few days and I'll let you know.

I just got a 1.2 266 t-bird that has the code avia. The chip is ok and will run stable up to 1420 mhz with air cooling and 1.9 vcore.

Thanks for respnding. Are even the 1200s encoded AXIA, and how about the 1.1 and 1.0GHz?

And now that the 1330 are out, are the 1200s still unlocked?

Thanks for the information

I just put 1G Thunderbird with code AXIA0110BPAW into my system. The CPU is unlocked using defogger kit. Right now warming up the system with 11*100 = 1100 Mhz with default voltage. The temperature is right now at 27C. The system is very stable and I am very certain I can go to 1200-1300Mhz. The 1Ghz Tbird with code AXIA is really something out of this world. If you look at the CPU, it is just identical to the new 1.3 Ghz. Could it be that these 1Ghz AXIA is really disguised 1.3 Ghz Tbird? It would be a real bargain if you can get hold on one of these wonderful Tbird,
