I got my KT7A this weekend. A great board just like my KT7. After installing both Phase 1 & 2 voltage mods, I spent almost the entire weekend running every combination of multiplier vs fsb vs core and I/O voltage that wasn't rediculous, on both my 600 Duron and 650 T-bird. I have always used Prime95 Torture to test stability, but I decided to include 3D Mark 2001 also. Every combination that passed 3D Mark 2001, also passed Prime95, but there were three of the many combinations which passed Prime95, but failed 3D Mark 2001. The two, together make for a more balanced test.
I read some posts about high speeds attained, where the person says it got past the post but wouldn't run Windows reliably. Then, as soon as it gets into Windows reliably, they assume it is stable. That is only true as long as all they ever intend to do is let it idle in Windows. I saw my share of Scandisk this weekend. BSODs, Windows Protection Errors, Corrupted Registry, etc. That's why I have two HDDs.
One with only Win98, DirectX8, 3D Mark 2001, Burnk6 and Prime95 for testing. Food for thought, for all the newly ordained and potential Overclockers.

yeah no kiddin bro. Usually I need to reduce speed 2 to 3 mhz for the bus and 20 - 40 mhz for the cpu to get my system from booting into windows to being reliable under high load :)
