hello everyone
im new to posting here, but ive been reading for nie on 5 months anyway, when i play the likes of BF1942 after a while the sound beings to crackle,
could be a hardware issue?

here are my specs:
soltek SL-75frn2-1 mobo
2000+ (only slightly overclocked)
GF4 mx440se 64m video card
512m kingmax ram ddr333

any more specs, just ask

i used to get this playing doom back in the day

so i forgot to say i was useing the ac97
and ive just found out that when its set to 6 channel mode
all the speckers get random channels, like frount left will be rear right and fround right will be sub etc etc

i look forward to hearing/reading any info you have

Hey bro, I gave up on my onboard sound with this board!! Just get a cheap "creative" live add-on card, and all your probs will (should) be solved:)

Oh yeah! welcome to the forums mate

yay i fixed it (i think)
just like with all things overclocker, it gets better with cooling
i just put an old 486 cooler on it and played bf1942 for many hours with no ill-sounds
thanks for everyones help
