I'm getting an error installing winxp wservice pack 1 on my new setup.

After getting to the partition section the install tells me to create Partitions (that seems to work) It then tells me to select a partition to install too when i, when I do that it goes to the next page and Calls the drive an "Unknown Drive" and says -- Disk does not contain a windows compatible partition. It then asks me to go back and select or create a suitable partition.

Mirrored Raid Onboard HPT 370, I removed the mirror and I get the same error. I of course am pressing f6 and installing the proper driver to match the BIOS I have.
The motherboard is a ECS d6vaa with 2 1.0Ghz.
The drives are 40GB's
The hpt Bios sees the drives -- even windows sees the drives and calls them C: and D: now. Deleting the partition and remaking results in the same error.

Anyone got any ideas.
