ive got a k62 450 and a iwill xa 100+ motherboard,128md pc100,diamond viper 550(pci), sound blaster live! value and a ibm 30.7gb deskstar hard drive with a promise ata100 controler card.Now what i want to know is how far can i take this baby before i need serious cooling (water) and what voltage sattings will i need.Please help me cos im new to this lark.

try setting the multiplier to 5x100fsb you might need to up the voltage. Those chips need alot of juice. i wouldnt expect to get over 550mhz with that chip.

A K62 isn't going to get you very far, even with watercooling. Some people can get a little extra out of them, but 50-100MHz is about the best you can get. if you are even considering watercooling one, you mught be better served getting a new board and CPU instead.
