im runnin duron 800@933 (133x7.0 - 1.75v)on A7V-133a with thermoengine hs/f and 2 sticks of pc100 ram (got lucky).
my cpu is only 8 days old and i oc'd sraight from the box. i cant seem to run at 1ghz yet (freeze during post)
would it make any difference, at al,l if i invested in pc133 sdram (its rock solid at 933(133x7.0)) or not.
i figure if it runs at 133 what would extra cpu muliplyer do.....
any opinions ??

This is just a WAG (Wild A** Guess) because I don't O/C much at all, but I do read an awfull lot about the principals, and how the guys do it.

I would think that if you stay at 133 mhz fsb, and it is stable with the pc100 ram...then it should O/C further at 133 fsb, if the cpu will do it. I don't know what the base core voltage is, but most are increasing the core a little bit to clock them higher. You might try doing that some to see what it will do.

I wouldn't think the ram is failing if it is stable at lower attempts at O/C at 133 mhz fsb, then fail at the same fsb when trying a higher multiplier.

I also have an A7V133 and if I'm not mistaken, you have the option in the BIOS to set your RAM at 100MHz when you're running the FSB st 133.
You may want to experiment with different FSB X multiplier combinations. You may find out, as I have, that the best performance of your system may be to give up a little bit of FSB and increase the multiplier. Try different combinations and run some benchmarks on them to see what performs best.
