i dun know why but last night when i was surfing the net, i reciveved a messege that said my system must be shut down and it counts down 30 second before it shut down. i dun know whether i've been hacked. u guys know anything about this?

update i've found that my computer has a trojan at port 1047 called gate crasher i'm not sure if that's the problem

If you don't have an antivirus program, go here: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
and this would be a good time to turn on XP's firewall.
I'd also go to Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and install ALL the critical updates listed.
The RPC exploit has been known for over 2 weeks now, and can totally compromise all NT based computers, giving the hacker full control over your system.

maxvla had a problem like this last night... he tried lowering his overclock and i believe it helped... i can't be 100% sure, but i will try to point him to this thread...

mine was the remote call service was giving some error. i had 60 seconds to save my stuff. i have norton 2k3 fully updated so im pretty sure this is not my problem.
probly just windows being retarded.
