How much money will I need to spend to get at least 20k in 3dmark'01se? if you would like you could give me a system spec.
amd or p4... thanks!

It looks like you've already gotten everything you need; at 3.4ghz-3.5ghz with your card well overclocked, 20k is just about definite. What kind of cooling do you have right now?

I use stock and and 3 chassifans...

Yeah, you probably should get a better heatsink (not that intel stock isn't decent) or go water. 3dmark likes high FSBs. But you definitely should o/c your video card as high as possible.

i have oced it to max and can't raise more than 266 fsb...

Yeah, but that might be because of heat. You'll most likely do a lot better in water.

What 3dmark01 score are you getting now, by the way?

first spend either $80 on an slk900 and 75+ cfm fan. or do a build your own high quality watercooling set-up for $200.

if that dosen't allow you to get to 3.4 Ghz with your 2.4, get rid of your 2.4 and get a 2.8 which will overclock to 3.4-3.5 hopefully. either way you need good cooling, stock is only good to 3.0 and then temps get high. if possible go water and get a waterblock for the video card, it will allow you to overclock it some moer as well. so unless your sub 18000 i'd just keep it as it is, but if ya got the money what the hell....go for it. if ya got the money, get a vapochill and voila, no more temp problems ever. $599 for vapochill

Okay, i'm having 18200 3dmarks at maximum overclocking right now... you positive i can oc more with more cooling?
but i have artifacts at like 410 mhz on my gpu. if I add waterchill, can i oc more without artifacts?

mmkay... i have it on dual channel yes... 1 - 3 slots... using p4c800 deluxe mobo...
why would i regret my mind selling the 2.4c?

why would i regret my mind selling the 2.4c? Dude, you have a potentially killer system there. 21k is even possible with your setup; don't expect it to be with a 2500+. Just go out and upgrade your cooling. Your system well overclocked will definitely be ahead of a 2500+; either a little better, or way better, depending on your luck. You've got it all right there; all you need are a few improvements and a little tweaking.

Okay, well... I'll consider it :/
If you say it's so good, then... oh well... I believe you...
u wanna buy it? yeah... cool... how much?
where u live?

wow, two triple posts in the same thread! btw, no selling outside of the classifieds;)

Sorry about the triple posts, and about the buying thing...

My browser wasn't exactly responding, so I didn't think that it posted either time. I was j/k about the buying thing. What I meant is that my heavily overclocked Athlon rig can be beaten in just about anything by your Intel one, if tweaked out properly.

The twister stuff is brand new from what Ive read, and Im not sure if anyone has tried it yet. You can be the first. :P

hmm...20k in 3dmark01? how about a few driver tweaks to send yourself to 40k!!
j/k, but the fact that 3dmark scores are so crucial to people, yet can be so easily altered by drivers sort of irks me...
in any case, you're at 3.2ghz at stock voltages...i'm guessing you're at stock voltages because otherwise your temps get too high? just get better cooling then, as others have suggested, then get your voltage up some. if you got better cooling for your vid card as well (let's say you went water) you could volt mod that on the ram and the core, and get a better overclock as well. you really shouldn't need to though. 20k should be easily broken with better cooling alone

It's not that, pushing the voltages doesen't make my cpu burn up. it's like 50c in full load. i just can't up the damn fsb more.
"booting failure due to overclocking" when i press 267 fsb. i can run my ram in like 100 mhz or something and i cant oc more.
whats the problem? :( will i be able to oc to like 280 fsb if im on waterchill?

so u really do mean my ram is pushing me back? heh hope yer not serious because it cant be the ram stopping me.
I said i've tried to run the ram with 400 mhz and 267 fsb. 3.2 ghz, cant get past it. I can run my ram on like 450 mhz and thats maximum.

Bengan, try LOWERING the CPU voltage, if your motherboard allows it.

I have a 2.4b that overclocks beter at 1.45 than at 1.65. I'm not really sure why. It could just be less heat at the lower voltage, or possibly even reduced electrical noise.

Umm okay thanks! I will try that :) Thanks for the tip! keep rockin man
