I want to overclock my 1.1ghz tbird to 1.2 or more and i was wondering if all i do is bridge the L1 and change the bios stuff or do i have to bridge the L4 L5 and L6 as well? also which works better/longer conductive ink or a defogger kit? i would also like to know a good HSF for this job i already have arctic silver 2 so i want a nice heatsink/fan to go with it. Any recomendations?

@@@Just the L1 bridge need to be close (use a defogger kit just take you time when you are doing it make sure you keep all 4 bridges apart from each other) then you can play with the bois until your heart is fit. I like my alpha pal6036 works really well (about 35$)

the defogger kit IMHO works just as well as the ink...although you'll want to use tape to keep it clean...its real easy to put to much and have it cross the bridges.

i use an alpha pep 66t with a delta 38 cfm fan...the fan is considerably noisy, but you get used to it after awhile and there isnt a hsf combo out there that works better...$32 @ www.2cooltek.com

I just installed a 1100B on an Iwill KK266 myself. I have it running @ 8x150 or 1200mhz. Voltage is 1.80, temps 107f w/FOP32-1

You just have to connect the L1 bridge. I tend to agree that both conductive pen and defogger kit will work equally well. In both cases, you use the ink from the conductive pen or the conductive paint from the defogger kit. Use a needle to apply conductive ink or paint over the L1 bridge. After you finish, use the technique describe in this web site to ensure each adjacent line does not touch each other. I use the technique above with the defogger kit and has no problem whatsoever. Let us know what happen and Good Luck.

thanks for the info, i was planning on using a conductive pen they have one online from radio shack and if i use the tape it should leave a thin enough bridge right? or should i just use a needle. If you still suggest the needle do you kno anywhere that sells conductive ink in bottles or tubes?

Go to auto part store and ask for defogger rapair kit. It probably cost you $8-$10 (it cost me 8$ Canadian). The kit contains a bottle of brown liquid (that is your conductive paint) and a little brush. Dip a needle into the bottle and start apply the paint over the bridge from top to bottom. The easiest way is to use a small piece of paper (cut from business card) to cover the last three lines on the L1 bridge when you paint the first line. This piece of paper will serve as a ruler to guide your painting. When you finish painting the first line, wait a few minutes to ensure that it is dry. Use a new piece of paper and apply the same technique on the second line. This time the piece of paper will cover the next two lines. Keep doing it until you finish all four lines, going down each line one at a time. If you do it carefully these four lines will never cross each other. To be certain that they never crossed and to make sure everything is clean, dip slightly the edge of a new business card into rubbing alcohol (90% content work best) and run that edge between the lines. Keep doing it until you satisfy that these lines are properly separated. The whole process probably will cost you 45 minutes to 1 hour. But you have to do it only once and never bother to redo it again like the pencil trick. Also the paint conduct current much better than graphite from pencil. Hope that it help and Good Luck.

thanks i read on tom's hardware though that you have to change some of the other bridges as well to change things like voltage or clock speed do i have to do this or will changing it in the bios work?

ok here's what im planning to get so far. A Swiftech MC0a2 somn like that with the YS fan, defogger kit, and a 400watt powersupply, will i be able to get up to 1.4 or 1.5ghz on a Iwill KK266?
