can the cpu beat the bios????????

well I tried o/cing my cpu again and people have told me that the pencil marks may have just worn off but I tried to o/c it with the physical jumpers and it always post at normal speed.Should'nt I get a blue screen or no boot at all even if the bridges are locked? thanks ,any imput on this would be appreciated

Yes if your cpu is locked, aka bad pencil work it doesnt matter what bios/jumper settings you use. The cpu uses it's default multiplier and thats it !

You need to do the pencil trick carefully or even better use some permanent method like silver pen or defogger repair kit for car's (rear window) to unlock your cpu.
