I have a duron 800 when i run it at 800 i have 30-32 idle 35-37load that is on 1,5 vcore
when i run it at 1Ghz (or 992 124x8) i have 40-42 idle and 45-46 load
is this good or bad,, it is on vcore 1,775
yesterday when i ran it at 1Ghz i got 49-50 load hand 45-46 idle why has the temp droped i think it was at the same vcore
could the processor get used to a higher speed and drop the temps?
the themp change has started to occure when i centerd the heat probe on the middle of the processor. and it is in the middle i am 100% positive
i didnīt try the temp before i recenter the probe i did it the 1st in the morning so maybe it has goten used to it? is that possible?

when i try to restart at 1Ghz it quits windows but dont boot up again.. what does this mean.. to low vcore??
when i run it att 800 it is prefect and restarts
why does VIA HardWare Monitor show 0,1 vcore higher then i set in bios if i set it at 1,5 it shows 1,6 if i set 1,775 it shows 1,88

my system:
Duron 800 @ 800/1Ghz / FOP 32-1 / Copper Shim / Arctic Silver II
vcore: 1,5/1.775
Soltek SL75-KAV Socket A mobo
128Mb Mosel Vetelic 128mb ram cas2 @ 133 / cas 3 @ 160
Pixel View GeForce 2MX
Network card 10Mbps

Believe the VIA HWM report on your voltage. The programmabe vcore regulators often put out more than you bios calls for. My KT7 reported about .06 higher than the bios setting called for. I checked this with a precision multimeter and verified the VIA HWM was correct. Now, running your vcore at 1.88V with an FOP-32 cooling your CPU, your temps are within the expectable range. The failure to boot could be a result of your PSU not being able to source enough current with a vcore setting of 1.88. I used to use an FOP-32, overclocking my Duron 600 to 10x100 @ 1.9V and I had temps like yours before I reduced my room temp to 20C and added additional case fans.

Solutions
If you want to overclock at 1.88 vcore, get a better HSF, possibly a higher wattage PSU and make certain your case has adequate cooling. My case now runs 2C above room temp. All of these are often required to overclock.
