Never done that back in the day. Now I use 2k/xp but that method (display, settings, advanced, monitor tab) doesnt seem to work with 98. Its stuck at 60Hz and it really annoying.

can you set monitor refresh rate with 98?

In win98 you will find the refresh rate in the adapter tab.....usualy sez adapter default.
