I'm using a 900 mhz TBird with an Abit KT7A board. First of all, if I clear my CMOS, it resets the multiplier back to 5x. I can bring it up to 9x and 9.5x, but nothing higher, if I put it at 10x it resets itself to 9x. I penciled the L1 bridges, but they may have gotten some alcohol on them when I was cleaning some arctic silver off the chip. Could this have screwed up my connections? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Its very possible. I have had the same problem. What i did was go over them with the pencil maybe a dozen times to get a good thick layer of graphite.

I did the same thing to my 800 T-bird My 7.5 multiplier shows up at 7 and neither of those are stable at all it was rock solid stable at 6.5X140 I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. :) Big pain in the ass to take everything apart. :)
