The 1700+ DLT3C T-Bred B

where exactly do you find out if the chip is a "DLT3C"? is it forged onto the front of the chip?

Almost. The T-bred's have the OPN and stepping information on a label near the edge of the cpu packaging. You will want an AXDA1700DLT3C and also make sure that it is a "B" revision by reading the next line. The second line will begin with a 5 letter stepping code. The fifth letter must be a "B" for the T-bred B. Be aware that recent production (0319 and 0324) T-bred A's have been seen. These will not overclock well.
