I have a Duron 750 running at 900. I recently put on a peltier, but it didn't cool enough so it went by by. Anyway, ever since then when I play Diablo 2 it plays and then every so often it just slows WAY down. I mean it turns really choppy and doesn't want to play right. Then about 30 seconds later it stops, and plays fine. Any ideas?

If your HDDs support it, try enabling DMA access to them. That helped me.

What type of Video Card are you running and how hot is it ?
I used to have trouble w/ Diablo 2 using the stock video chip fan, but since replacing it w/ a Blue Orb it never lags.

Thanks for your help. I have been able to run it fine before and it slowed down like this when I first put in the peltier.

interesting proble, i seam to have had the same thing happen to me sometimes in 3dmark2K but that was just because i was running 2 geforce overclocking programs at once! just make sure that this isn't true with yours
