Ok, have been happily OC'ing a 550E to 800 on a P3V4X and its time to move on to a bigger system and a more mature Mobo.

What I'm thinking is get an Abit KT7A Mobo (To RAID or not to RAID..that is the question) And an AMD 1.33G 266 CPU and throw it in a new 350W case with my existing Mushkin PC133 (Infineon running no problems 142) with a Leadtek GeForce II GTS, an HP CD R/W, an ISA Ethernet Card, and a 6Gig HDD and importantly I have a Creative Xgamer Live PCI Sound Card

I literally have ZERO experience with AMD chips but the cost/performance just can't be beat..especially by Intels current crop of P4's

My mains questions are..

AMD 1.33 266's.. are they multiplier locked?
Whats the normal multiplier? 9?
Whats the overclocking potential for Air Cooled with RAM that I know is solid at 142?
Whats a solid HSF that is not going to be a mounting problem on the KT7A series?
Any problems with the GF2 and compatibility?
Any AGP problems with the KT7A?
Whats a good box to put this in (will OC but nothing more than Air cooling can tolerate)
KT7A Should I go with RAID? Is it a stable board? (early P3V4X victim here :))

I want a stable solid system with no nagging conflicts and a mature BIOS/Driver set.. I've suffered through too many VIA/ASUS P3V4X problems and I don't want to repeat that again..ever...

Any advice, info, suggestions etc. would be greatly appreciated from those who have expereince with this setup..

Thanks in advance..

Raid is a good setup for quick access of information. But the only downfall is that if you have 20 identical 20 gig HD then you really only have 1 SUPER FAST 20 gig cause the 2 HD's are like mirrors of each other, but the upside is that if you crash a HD you can get the info back from the other side. Thats all ive ever done with RAID-but 2 7200 rpms or higher makes for a smokin raid

1. i dont think its multiplyer locked
2. 10x for a 1333
3. a good cooler should get you in the 1400 to 1500 mhz range
4. a FOP38 is a AWSOME heatsink and fan and has plenty of room for that board ( i have a FOP38 on my KT7A-RAID) ( and one on my G Force 2 card heehaaheehaa)
5. i havent had a problem one with my G Force2 (ASUS)
6. no agp problems at all that i have esperianced as long as you use a good GART driver for it ( i suggest the 4in1 4.28b driver )
7.tornado seires case ...hell there are many cases you could use ...heehee
8. if you have some ATA100 drives that are the same size i would do the RAID and my KT7A-RAID is solid as a ROCK ( using the WZ final bios) ( dont use the newer batas i had ALOT of problems with it )

hope this helps you
