I currently switched from a crossover connection to a router connection between 3 computers. The problem im having is although all the comps say they are connected, they are not. Non of the comps can get internet from the main computer and there is no file sharing. They are all running windows XP and i clicked the "Setup home of office network" on all of them and installed properly. What do i do?

make sure all the tcp/ip settings are on "obtain an ip/dns server automatically". the router also needs dhcp turned on. i'm not sure what the home networking wizard for xp does, but i didn't use it.

btw, what router do you have? it would let us help you better.

also cable or dsl? if dsl, you may need to set the ppoe password and username. for cable, i think you need to set the ip, other ppl can help you with that.
