Hello,
Im new here i just build my first comp. 900hz Amd Athlon, 256 PC133, 30 Gig Quantium Fireball 72,000 rpm, with Ati Rage Pro 32 meg. Well i didnt know wut to set my voltage at so i left it on auto, Its saying that the core voltage is at 1.84v and the CPU voltage at 3.20, The average temp its been running at : Processor 91F(33C) and System temp at 80F(27C), thats with the case open with a double baring fan and heat sink on the processor and 20 80mm fans on the front and back of the case. Is this normal temp? its not overclocked or anything yet. Also i have like a smell of burning electrial i beleive its coming from my montior but its not smoking or anything. If any one can help, thanks in advance. Oh my motherboard is: VIA Ep-7KXA

Welcome to OCer's.com's BBS, Trevster_2001!
I'm not knowledgeable about K7's. I think your CPU's Core Voltage is just fine, and your temps look good too. I don't know what "CPU voltage at 3.20" means. If this value really refers to I/O voltage, 3.3 volts is the standard.

A "smell of burning electrial" from your monitor is not a Good Thing, TM, Marca Registrada, M. Stewart Enterprises. If you have a PC savvy friend or neighbor, I suggest turning off the monitor until s/he can have a look at it. If you bought your monitor locally, return it. If it passes the sniff test, it should be OK.

Hey Trevster, Welcome to the finest darn Overclockers resourse site in the universe!
Seems like your'e doing fine except for the smell. Unless the reference to "20 80mm fans" is not a typo. If not a typo the smell is probably coming from the power supply. ;-)
You definately came to the right place for help. The members here will be glad to help any way they can. Your slow, cautious approach will pay off.
A great place to get info is the links on the main page to the beginners guides and faqs. Also browsing the CPU Database wil reveal some things that others have done to achieve a good overclock.
Good luck!
