Should not be expensive.

October 2003 at the earliest.

It should be the new overclocking champ.

Price of 2100+ T-Bred B and 2500 Barton at the time will also be a factor.

By the way, it would be ridiculous to actually postpone a computer purchase to wait for Athlon FX Thortons IMHO.

now is better than 3 month wait if you have to use a slow PC for 2 or 3 months.

And if you're really strapped for cash: $49 1700+ T-Bred B now then eBay it in 3 months.

When thorton comes out, expect it to be priced at the same level as tbreds.... that is, unless, it runs at 200fsb. Of course that means nothing to an overclocker, so tbreds or full bartons would be the choice of overclockers.

i'd go with a barton. Mine hit 2.2ghz on stock hs / voltage. 0327 retail box from newegg.
