How to Shrink Win 95 to 5MB

It's really a nice feat, but it's missing support for web browsing and sound in addition to other things.

Also, the msbetas.net site is down.
 
LitePC is working on removing non-essential items from XP using XPLite.

They already have a version called 98Lite for the Windows 98 line.
 
98 lite has been around for some time, it was only a matter of time before they did it with XP.

It does a bit more than that now...
It can remove almost every non-essential component of 98.
 
on www.litepc.com there like no need for a ram drive
but wouldnt haveing a 8mb version of windows 98 on a ram drive be super quick and take up less space in memory then a normal copy?
 
dam i got win 95 down to 6mb :) then i deleted the registory :'( then aload of other stuff and killed it

oh well i will start again later when i get back from work
