I recently purchased iwill ka266-r mobo, I am curious as to what type of ram to purchase(taking suggestions) and I have a Maxtor DiamondMax 40 gig ultra ata100 hdd. I have v5 5500 agp...My case has 4 80 mm fans 2 pulling in front, 2 pushing air out of the rear. I am thinking about getting a water cooling system so that I can overclock the hell out of the cpu...(open to suggestions on whether or not to get water or air cooling) I want to get at least 1Ghz or higher b4 overclocking, and I keep seeing the name AXIA? What is it? Where do I get em? What do they do?......plz help(P.S. I am new to overclocking...)

man, these smiley's r kewl....man I'm bored...
ram: mushkin, crucial, corsair, kingston, ocz.. all make very good ram. just make sure to get some high performance ram. crap ram will always cripple an otherwise decent system
about the proc: AXIA is part of a cpu batch-code of athlon processors, and these AXIA processors are proving to be excellent overclockers. hence they're helluva popular at the moment, and everyone wants one. to see what code a cpu is, look at the second line of numbers and letters below where it says 'AMD Athlon' on the core of a tbird. the first four letters here are the code. not sure where to get an axia tbird. if you can take a look at tbirds at a shop, then that'll work. some places are selling axia's for what they are, but then are marking the prices up cos people want them so badly. thirdly, you could mail suppliers and ask them to check for you, but they very often lie just to get you to buy a proc, or just say, no, they won't check.
if you're a newb, then welcome. stick around a while before making your purchase and read as much as you can about everything. then you'll be able to make your own informed decisions.

Thanks 4 the welcome bro, or should I say Pro. I appreciate your information, and I like this website very much. Very useful info here. Unfortunately I don't have any amd retailers nearby here, so I am almost forced to look to the internet to buy hardware. I would like some feedback on cooling too please...

watercooling is fun, but has a number of drawbacks: you have to have a case that it'll fit in, it's more expensive than forced air, and it has an element of risk that aircooling just doesn't have.
i've tried both watercooling and aircooling, and would only really recommend watercooling if you already have a nice case that you could fit everything into. i don't, so it really was more trouble than it was worth. my pal6035 with a delta fan does really well for me, on a duron 600@1124@1.94v.. (if that's not a test of a heatsink then i don't know what is!) you could always start with a good hsf and then move onto watercooling later if you want to. check out the following sites for sales of both watercooling and hsfs: 1 (http://www.2cooltek.com),2 (http://www.millisec.com),3 (http://www.leufkentechnologies.com), and 4 (http://www.dangerden.com).

watercooling!!! check out the aquastealth2 kits from becooling, they are great starter kits. Price is awesome and customer service cant be beat!! go with the micron pc2100 (256mb=100.00) and while you are at it go with the 1.33/266 t-bird, thay are about 225.00
expect at least 1500mhz with those components. Do NOT get mushkin ddr, it suck big time
oh yeah, axias are a VERY GOOD THING to get, the good news is that ALL 1.33's are AXIA :-))
all 1.33's are AXIA...is that true?
i feel like a shmoo...good thing i checked around and paid more. doh!
Dude! Like, take a chill pill! You don't have to post a message every 5 minutes (or less!) to get attention. Do you get instant email replies? Instant snail-mail replies? This ain't ICQ; give people a couple hours to notice you, take interest in your plight, and type their posts. 8-)
Onto your Q.
It seems that the vast majority of 1000+MHz chips out now are AXIAs, so you could roll the dice on that. Also, if you'd read the main board, Ed and Joe spend a lot of time gathering some of this info for you (Ed, do you ever sleep?) and posting it on the main page. If you take a gander every once ina while, you might notice that they have put out that all 1333s are AXIAs, and now most 1200s are AXIAs too.
If you need more detail as to what an AXIA is, I'm sure more people will be happy to post replies, but if you can't wait that long, take a look through what has already been published or is sitting in the archives. They can eliminate a lot of questions and save a lot of time.
