View Full Version : Which GPU block?

I made my CPU block but I'm not sure if it's worth it for me to make my GPU block, since there are some cheap $20 blocks like gemini blocks. I figure if I can get a decent one for around $25 shipped then I should go for it. But I would like one w/ 1/2" fittings and I would like the fittings to come out of the sides of the block (like danger den's $40+ block). Well, I may be asking for too much. If I bought one, which would be the best for the money? It would be for a 9800 I think.

For 9700/9800's the only two pre-fit for the shim are Swiftec and DD. I was thinking the swiftec myself. It has the same diamond-pin design as the CPU block and the CPU block is rated very highly, whereas the DD block just has a simple round chamber. The swifty can be had for $38, so it's a LITTLE cheaper.

thread hijacking! but still it would be vaugly ok .. aluminum or copper would be much better.

if you have questions to ask like this either search for them or post a new topic.. ^.^

[edit also i don't know how stainless stainless-steel would remain if put under constant pressure and mixed with wc addatives (purple ice.. waterwetter, antifreeze, uv die etc)
