I came across my temps in the bios and I was wondering what every one calls normal?
CPU 41C/ 105 F
System 33c/ 91F
CPU Fan 5052 RPM
System Fan 2840
V Core 1.71V
+3.3V 3.37V
+5V 4.99V
+12V 12.20V
I am running a !.3 gig TBird on an KA-266R board at 100mhz.
thanks

That seems warm especially since you don't appear to be overclocked. What heat sink/fan do you have?

It is the stock fan, for I am waiting on Artic Silver and thermoengine heatsink.
What should the temps be?
thanks

That may be right with a stock heatsink on a 1.33 as they run warm. It's not terrible but coud be better. I've never tested a 1.3 with a stock heatsink though.

Ancient, Be sure to lap the new heatsink, ther are links in the forum to do that. It really helps get the CPU temp down.

looks to me your case temps a HIGH

91F on the chip set is way high

also u need to put some thermal paste under the heatsink on the chipset

but you need some case cooling too as it looks !!!!

I have artic silver and the heatsink, plus two deskstars on the way, they were back ordered. I have two 120mm fans in frount plus two in the back and the power supply fan. I guess I could open one up in the top. I dont have much faith in this fan and heatsink. I hope someone will tell me what the readings are supposed to be.
thank you.

you should worry about the max temp instead of the idle temp. my pc runs about that temp at idle. what does it register while gaming for an hour or so. 130 F is the maximum temp I would suggest running at. 4 x 120 mm fans should do well for airflow. I assume you have the 2 in the front blowing in and the 2 in the back blowing out. Also, if your case has little holes where the fan mounts you can cut a big hole to increase airflow. I've seen those little holes restrict airflow up to like 75%. Also remember that room temp has a lot to do with cpu temps. If your cpu runs at 125 F under full load in a 65 degree room, it will run quite a bit hotter in a 80 degree room.

U should be ok with the thermoengine when u get it.I've got a duron 700@970 w/ the thermoengine( stock fan) at 1.85 v and the temps are 40C idle
43C load and 23C case temp.
Remember thet durons have a smaller core than tbirds so they have less surface area to dissipate the heat also if u plan to increase the voltage over the default( u will have to, to get a decent overclock) try to get a delta black label fan.
