Wow, Ravenshield is pretty hard

I've been stuck on level 4 for several days now, usually disarm all the bombs and the last terrorist gets me

any tips?

ok help me out here, whats the difference between assault, infiltrate and recon.... well whats recon anyways

Recon is basically going in somewhere to check things out. A survey so-to-speak.

Assault is your teammates will go in with guns blasting - not good if hostages around. Infiltrate is more reserved; they'll place their shots more carefully.

Try playing multiplayer...I find that to be more entertaining and also the stronger part of the game.

Read the book. It explains exactly what the different RoE (rules of engagement) mean. It is on page 29.

how's the game? graphics? fast paced? action?

Its a great game. Graphics are good (ut2003 engine). Pacing is dependant on how you play. I found if you try to play it like q3 you die really fast. Its like the other military type simulators.

DO the training and learn to clear rooms properly. Multi is fun but the hacks and what not really ruin it. Plus unless you play in matches and such the game really relies on team-play to much for public MP to be fun for very long.

Most people usually skip the planning phase but all it really takes is about 5 minutes. It doesnt have to be complex to be effective. In fact I think the opposite is true. Say for example that last terrorist nails you every time when your defusing the bomb (or whatever the situation is). Send in a second team to cover your back. The AI is really good (and they never miss ;) ).

I finished single player (only on easy as I'm a huuuge doom style player) and it was quite good. Multiplayer was excellent especially the co-op levels. (terrorist hunt etc.) The only thing I dont like is how long it takes to swap between grenades and weapons. (not as bad as vietcong tho)

ok, so dlded patch 1.4. It fixed the multiplayer problem, but now I have another one. Half the time when I click the game, it opens in a window. The other half of the time it's maximized but as soon as it gets past the opening screen, it minimizes and returns to the desktop. After that everytime I click it, it flashes to the game for a split second,then minimizes again.

Suggestions please?

Level 4 is REALLY hard. My guys always get gunned down. I was considering going lone wolf on the terrorists, like I did on the 2nd mission, but I need at least 2 guys for cover fire :-/

Whenever I finish playing, if I want to play again later in the day, i'm forced to reboot my computer. If I don't, I have the problem of Ravenshield minimizing. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?
