Soundstorm mutes itself ?

Soundstorm will invoke muting without apparent cause. I have tried several sets of drivers but cannot seem to get rid of this problem. I turn muting of and it will turn back on in anywhere from 15 seconds to 15 minutes. I am running the NF7S V2.0 Bios 14. FSB 200 X 10 with an XP2400+. Memory is 2 X 256 Mushkin PC3200 Ultra set to auto for a 1 to 1 ratio. Happens during gaming, Video playback, sometimes playing music and sometimes with no sound output at all. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
