My sig. pretty much tells all.I was just wondering if anyone knows what the default voltage might be.Just wondering if I push the voltage might I get a bit more out of the machine.
What is the default speed of your CPU?

450Mhz
The old P-III 450 CPUs were slot 1 Kat cores. They are 2.0v default and really don't overclock much above 550 MHz. You can run the voltage up to about 2.2v fairly safely.

Hmmmz since were in the topic of voltage... to all the P4 owners out there:
How much of an increase in speed were you able to get from raising voltage from the default vcore??
eg. The max Speed I attained at default vcore was 3.12Ghz(240fsb)
Raising the voltage to 1.6v allowed me to reach 3.21 Ghz (247fsb)
So raising the voltage helped me gain 90mhz!
Now to all the P4 owners out there... how much more speed were you able to achieve through increasing your Vcore????
Post your Max speed at Default Vcore, Your increased vcore along with the Max speed you attained with the increase.
No offense N.E.R.D., but let's not highjack this guy's thread. Why not start another thread? This isn't even about P-4's, it's about old P-III's. There was also a poll about how much of an overclock people got with default voltage on 2.4C CPUs. Perhaps you should try using the search feature (button at the upper right of the page).

Thanks batboy (again).Yeah that's exactly what I got.So when I push it to 133Mhz it does not post. You think maybe bumping the voltage to 2.2v,I might be able to get it to post at 133MHz?

4.5 x 133 = 600mhz... it might do it and it might not, if its an early stepping more than likely not.
If you're not even posting at 133 FSB, then extra voltage is unlikely to work. Even if it did post, it'll probably not be stable.
