need opinions

well i've had my geforce3 ti500 for a while and it runs really really hot and it's stock. well i'm leaning towards getting a new video card at work (best buy) i'm leaning towards the radeon 9800 but it;'s a bit expensive especially the best buy price of 299.99. i duno how much it is with employee discount but i'm sure it's not that much. so maybe the nvidia 5600 ultra or something which i think i saw at like 180 bucks or something. i might be mistaken if that price sounds wrong. but i heard the geforce fx series suck other than the very high end models. would i be stupid to get the 5600 or so. need opinions on a new card.

I suggest your order a Radeon 9800 NP off the internet and overclock it the best you can maybe even bios flash it to a pro

I think the 5600 ultra for $180 is a very nice buy. It performs pretty close to the 9500 Pro.

If that price isn't correct (I doubt it is that cheap anywhere let alone BB) then like the guy above said, Newegg has the 9800 np for $260 which is a great card.

Do you have a prefered price range?

edit: I've looked up 2 reviews on this product and it beats the heck out of the nVidia product

well i just checked the employee discount for the 9800np and it's 50 bucks so it's 250 i duno it;s still a bit high but i'm sure i'll be getting that
