View Full Version : AMD's New King For Overclocking!! The AthlonXP 1800+ JIXHB DLT3C 0321
OC-Master

I now know exactly which CPU I want to get on my next upgrade! the DLT3C JIXHB 0321. Thou its another DLT3C CPU, this CPU actually defualts to 1.45volts !!!! stock!
1,45v DLT3C JIXHB 0321
At 1.85v on AIR Cooling, some individuals were able to obtain 2.70GHz 100% stable.
At 1.82v on AIR, 2.68GHz was obtainable stable. The chip has almost endless overclocking headroom!
At 1.50v, the chip managed 2.3GHz right outa the box on AIR.
At stock (1.45v), the chip made it to 2.25GHz 100% stable on AIR.
I'm really really really loving these results soo far. The only thing now that could stop me from getting this chip is can it be hacked to be able to use the high multiplier values from 13~24X?
BTW, here is one of the places these guys were on,,
http://www.setcom.bg/news/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8336
Yummy, this CPU is going for under $90 Canadian LOL
EDIT: This one here was the one i was gonna get before I saw the JIXHB,
http://www.ocworkbench.com/ocwbcgi/newspro/viewnews.cgi?newsid1060604260,8593,
But the problem is that one defualts to 1.5v LOL,,, and now I want 1.45v stock!!

Damn that's impressive.:)

Could be a shining new 0319-type lot
Whoa... 2.7 on air??? I can't even come within 100mhz of that on water! Okay, looks like its time for a new processor.

The most wicked part about all this madness is that these chips are soooo soooo cheap! Man, there is places in Canada here that got em suckers for $87 LOL
Thats to drool for hehe .. Problem is now,, where do we begin to look for this exact stepping???

So is that "12-24 hour prime95" stable or is it only, "windows will load" stable?
And anyone here speak russian? (or whatever that language is :p ).

Yes very important. I can get 2600mhz windows load stable on my DUT3C 1700+ from last year with about 1.85volts. But I'm not willing to give it enough voltage to even try and get that prime stable.

Same guy who is running that chip at 2.67GHz was running it at 2.7 for a bit.

If it is default to 1.45V officially, then would it need another voltage rating besides DLT3C (1.5V), DUT3C (1.6V), DKT3C (1.65V) for the Tbred B and Barton Vcore rating?

Nope cause it's stamped as 1.50v on the chip but for some reason will defualt to 1.45v. I dont think anyone has figured this one out yet.
The L designates 1.50v but yet the chip goes between 1.45~1.47v when its equiped into any motherboard on defualt settings LOL

nice new chip i guess
my aqxea barton 2500+ is maxed out at 2.2ghz @ 1.85V :(
burning doesn't help at all...
Well....it's not exactly on air. the guy geniusloki is member of a bulgarian hardware community and makes very good w/c boxes. With his w/c rig he gets 51*C so it's impossbile to do this with air, max 2.4 or something but i bet 2.7 are impossible without water cooling

Pretty impressive but where do you have the link that says he is doing this speed on air and it is stable?
The fact that the temp. is 51*C doesn't mean that he is on air! It's stable, he posted a pic with prime running for 6-7 hour
Looking at the CPU database the max. o/c is 3Ghz. I still thing 1700 is better

anyone got any idea if these are avalible in the uk? im guessing not
Only 321 is good overclocker in 1800+ family. If you find it and have good w/c get it, it's too risky! So better get 1700+ as your chances are better

08-13-03, 04:45 AM
Hi all,
From what my experience could be I noticed that new steppings are always better.
For instance consider this:
with my old 1800+ JIUCB I could reach the ~2.2 Ghz wall.
with my latest 1800+ JIUHB DLT3C I can reach 2.5 Ghz full stable using only 1.775 volts and I could obtein a frequency of 2.6 Ghz stable using 1.85 volts with my old A7V8X mo.bo. (obivious at this freq. my water cooling system started to be good not enough, temps were a bit high)
Maybe you can take a 100 mhz extra from the new stepping using same voltage values but I do not think the new stepping could be considered as a revolutionary one.
Maybe an hypotetical XXX(H+1)B stepping could be a lot better but this is only supposition.

We shpuld be seeing these appear soon, one retailer said that AMD would only be making models 1900 and up from now on. Not that that necessarily true.
Sounds like AMD has just finished getting rid of these the all the distibutors..

I have an 1800 dlt3c jiuhb 0319mpm (I think mpm I cant remember) and it defaults to 1.47 vcore. I cant give you realistic overclocking results because my PSU and board arent in the same league as my CPU but it is ok around 2200 until my cheapo 300W PSU gives in. The +12 is about 13.50 most of the time so it reboots randomly. When I get a new PSU Ill let you know how it does.

I've heard of a couple of them through guys at futuremark.com's forums. But those guys didn't know what they were doing and never really followed up with conclusive results. The CPU's are real. In fact, I believe they may have come from newegg if I remember. They were in the new packaging.

I have been looking everywhere online and at stores that would let me see the chips - I haven't seen any of these at all - and indeed have seen no pictures of results or the chip online either. I don't doubt that they are real, but I strongly suspect that they may be "discontinued" and that perhaps only a very few were produced in the first place.
I really hope someone who knows what they're doing (and owns a camera!) gets their hands on one soon.

Would it be better to get a 1700+ DLT3C or an 1800+ DLT3C? And which stepping would be best? I've seen JIXHB mentioned as the best, is this right?

How fast do you guys think that thing would go on liquid nitrogen?

Someone should get one and just for giggles try it......

I hope you know and understand the inherent dangers of using liquid nitro...
our japeneese friends love this stuff, and keep posting some of the worlds most outragous speeds for P4's and AMD's... however, I'd like to see them get online and do some NASCAR4 racing or FPS games like battlefield1942, Quake3 or UnrealTournament... then we'll see how their systems holds up.

I think I will be building a couple off friends computers this week, I'll order 1800+'s for each and will see what I end up with. Somebody might be getting my 1700 if Newegg send one of these babies.
Liquid nitrogen is for suicide runs, it can only be used until it vaporizes. After that your sol. Its not practical and you can crack of some digits if your not carefull.

No kiddin....I mean the highest OC ive gotten so far with this new 2500+ barton is 2500Mhz, and thats even unstable on water. Gives me a windows configuration error. Whats the use of speed if you cant use it? It's like having a Ferrari to get into traffic with. I can understand using clock cycles for SETI or mersenne work, but most games run fine on a system with a halfway decent proc, memory, and GPU.

you know what, the extra 200mhz on the 1700 is great, but where do you honestly see it in actual work. i dont mean to be sceptical, infact if i had the money i would have 8 ocd watercooled pc's here ina macdonalds chilling room, but the fact is not many of us will be able to tell the extra 200mhz difference, or even 500mhz unless they frequently run stuff like photoshop or rendering, and even then its not a huge difference. what im getting at is dont feel ****y if u ordered something like a 2200 etc... and you see this. its all good. anyway niiiiiiice chip (time to praise) and for the new pc thats what im getting. Exactly. Overclocking is about fun. I bought a 2100 which clocked to 2200mhz. I then bought an 1800 which would do better. I gained 200mhz for my everyday overclock, and lost $30 after selling the 2100 for a loss.
All in all my games may see a small difference, but I sure do like seeing 2400mhz instead of 2200. :) It has nothing to do with need or practicality. These chips are so cheap now, it's an overclockers dream come true.
