Hi All,

I am running my system OCed to 3.2 for 2 weeks, it is until now 100% stable based on my daily usage, but when I run Prime95 torture test after 5 seconds I got an error saying : Rounding was .5, expected less than .4, already try the last beta and the other version of prime, same results...
When I run MEMTEST 3.0 after the 14 pass I start getting errors, from pass 14 to pass 17 I got 71 errors...

These are my settings

ABIT IC7 BIOS 16
CPU 2.6C
1GB TwinX 3200llpt V1.2 Timmings: 2-3-2-6

BIOS Settings,

FSB 250
MEM RATIO: 5:4
Vcore, Vdimm stock
AGP/PCI Fixed
NB Strap: by CPU

GAT:

Auto
Auto
Disable
Disable

My memmory is running at spec when OCed (DDR400), why I get errors on MEMTEST? I think my NB is getting too hot and the ABIT cooler is not doing a very good job, what do you guys think??

I am running now MEMTEST with my case open and VDIMM at 2.8V to see if I got any different results, it will be running for 8 hours...

Any one has a clue what is happenning?

Thanks!

Just increase RAM V to 2.8 and Vcore to 1.6V and try higher!
Good luck!

I've just runned 54 passes of memtest with Vdimm 2.8V only 2 errors, the next test is to run with the NB Strap 800 insted of By CPU...

Getting better, will try reach higher as soon my system is 10000% stable

Good luck mate !
Also try to loosen up timings a bit... 1Gig RAM is pretty much for motherboard to work with... You won't loose much !

I agree try to loosen your RAM timings. I usually set my RAM as lax as possible(try 3:2) to find the top end for my CPU. I'd tick the vcore up a bit to find my CPU's limit where you can run Prime95 with no errors. Once you figure that out, THEN I'd start messing with your RAM. Set 5:4, which is what I'd assume you plan on running, & start adjusting the timings while testing their stability with Prime95 & MEMTEST. Might even want to throw a few loops of 3DMark at is as well until you find the pest performance settings for you. Remember every machine is different, what works for others might not work for you & vice versa. :D

well said, and I wish every one did the same as above when OCing.

wich timmings do you guys recommend?

for daily usage my system is 100% stable, now I am running CPUHOT without problems, will let it run for 6 hours to get the certificate...

If everything goes fine do you guys think I really need to relax my timmings?
