I recently installed a Leadtek tv2000xp deluxe tv/fm tuner card. I notice if I am watching TV while surfing the net that my connection seems to get a good bit slower. I have a basic Hi-Val winmodem so I know it utilizes my cpu, but I have a p4 1.6a overclocked to a very stable 2.5ghz. So I wouldn't think that lack of speed on my system would be the culprit.
I checked to see if the tv card and modem were sharing any IRQ's or interrupts, but that is not the case. I got the card because I thought it would be cool to be able to watch TV while surfing the net. It's just frustrating to have surfing slowdown. Would a controller-based modem help solve my problem? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
