I hate having large icons displayed in Windows Explorer when I browse my drives, but unlike 98SE, I can't find any setting to force Detailed File View for all folders (especially the cd-roms). It there a hidden setting somewhere, or a reg setting I can apply to force the Detailed File View?

In explorer change the folder view to Detailed.

go view->folder options and select the button marked "apply this to all folders"

Thank you! I hate how Mickey$oft keeps changing the menus around with every version. I was used to the alt-f-w-f to create a new directory in Win95, then alt-f-n-f in 98SE, and now they go back to the 95 style. And no Find in the toolbar? Wth??? :eh?:
