when i started up the computer with the chip, it set the default voltage @ 1.85 and the I/O at 3.40. Are these accurate for this chip. Thanks.

My KT7A defaults voltage to 1.75 and 3.40 I/O am running a 1200 266 tbird though. 1.85 sounds a little high for default. If your temps are low it should be a problem.

Hope it helps,

All the one's I've seen have default core voltage at 1.75.

Specified default voltage for AMD TBirds is 1.75. Some mobos seems to be a little generous with the juice, and their voltage regulators are off by 0.1V or so. My Iwill does the same. This is ok, as long as you have decent cooling, and it may allow you to actually go up to 1.95V (in the manual 1.85V setting), for all purposes I would start out with the the real default voltage of 1.75 (probably achieved by setting the board to 1.65V. Read the bios voltage or check via MBM. The increase as you overclock, but have an eye on temps and get a good heatsink if they rise too high.
