View Full Version : Finding an Axia 1gig ???? Please help
Hello,
I have called a few venders that carry the 266bus 1gig t-birds, but non of them know if they are axia cores or not. Are all 266bus 1gig tbirds axia cores? How can I be sure that I order an axia one?
Thanks,
friken
I read about the 'axia' core at:
http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/axiaoc/default.asp
but no info on where to buy one, or knowing how to find out what your buying until you get it :(

Not all 1.0/266 CPU's are AXIA's. There are some places that advertise them.

Not all 1.0/266's are AXIA. I've seen AVIA's which also overclock well.
Are there any types of 1.0/266 that would not oc well?

Found some AXIA's at Fry's in San Jose and Ventura.....

I ordered a 1G/266 from Dynasty Express a short time ago and it was a week 11 AXIA. FWIW the core is red with blue sealant on it. They don't rape you on shipping either.

Spend the extra $50 and get a 1.2, they are all axia's. That is what a very reputable dealer in the 'hood told me. Why settle for less, when can get the best.
cuz maybe I can get it for cheaper?
