file indexing in Win XP, Better to run it or not?

HI

Can you tell me if it's better to have file indexing inabled or disabled for Win XP pro with NTFS file system.

My PC is a gaming rig only.

Thanks.......

Hi,
Thanks for reply.

This file indexing was on after I installed Windows.

Too find it do a right click on your C drive icon, and under General it says " Allow Indexing service to index this disk for fast flie searching".

It had a check in the above box, ive removed the check now.

Thanks for the link.

The service that runs it was set to manual
