Greetings everyone...

I've got an AMD K62-350 running on a FIC VA-503+ mobo. I'm trying to overclock this thing, so I change the multiplier jumper on the board to 4 and the voltage up to 2.3 from 2.2, and MBM indicated no change in MHz. This might sound dumb, but, how do you guys check the speed of your cpus after an attempted overclock?? Maybe MBM isn't the best proggie to check cpus speed, but what is? And do most of you install a temp probe? Okay.... I think that's it...
Thanks in advance!

. Download a copy of SisSoftSandra. This program has a lot testing and information modules that will give you more stuff to read than you'll know what to do with. I don't have a site handy, but you could do a search through your search engine and find one.

. Another place to try is PCPITSTOP, available here;

http://www.pcpitstop.com/

. Also a lot of diagnostic / information modules there, plus you can archive your results and monitor your changes and the effect they have on your system.

Check to see what speed your BIOS is showing on bootup. this is probably the most accurate indicator of whether you have achieved any gain or not.

Mattjenna,
SiSoft Sandra Pro isn't free therefore constitutes warez which is an not promoted or allowed on this forum. :(

SiSoft Sandra comes in a non pro version thats a trial version, i dont see the problem there, also wcpuid is a much more compact program and is probably the best around for checking your CPU speed
Sorry didnt notice that second link from matt, that is a warez site with pro, you're breaking the law if you download that copy...

The non-pro version of Sandra isn't a trial version...there are just certain levels of functionality that come only with the Pro version.

There is a trial version. That's not Warez. The link he posted IS warez though. Who's the Moderator here???
