I was wondering if anyone knew if this chip is any good. This is my first build for overclocking so I am willing to make a money vs performance trade off.

u can get to around 2.1 2.2ghz with chip and good cooling

Great CPU for the $ as you would need to spend 40% more, (20 bucks

more ) for 2100+, the next step up, which may or may not get you 100MHz or so more, depending on the rest of your equipment.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to go ahead and get it. I've been debating about some of the more expensive garaunteed steppings, but for my finances/experience I think getting this and putting that money elsewhere is the way to go.

I can't wait for everything to get here now!

FYI Gameve is shipping more recent week chips than that. I got 0324 DLT3C chips from them a few weeks back.

There is a guaranteed DLT3C stepping which is recommended over the one you mentioned.

...and it now costs more than 2100+ making it not worth it.
