Hopefully, this helps others who have similar problems.. can you guys with exact same ram and size post your experiences and list the boards you tested this on as well.

I just put my 2X 256MB GEIL PC3700 Golden Dragon dual channel into my 4PCA3+ and pretty disappointing as well :(

========================
2X 256MB GEIL PC3700 Golden Dragon dual channel

@233mhz 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.85v on PX865PE PRO2 memtest test #5 PASS for 24+ hrs and does memtest error free at 245mhz 2.5-4-4-7 at 2.85v vdimm

@233mhz 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.8v on IC7 FAILS memtest after 1597+ passes with 2 errors needs 2.5-4-3-7 or 2.5-4-4-7 at 2.8v to pass

@233mhz 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.8, 2.9, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2v on 4PCA3+ all FAIL memtest with 12-16 errors between 2-16 passes of test#5
@233mhz 2.5-4-3-8 at 3.1v memtest86 test #5 seems to be stabilizing

when this memory is set to SPD it's 2.5-4-4-8
========================

It appears both my 2x 256MB GEIL PC3500 Ultra dual channel also suffer the same weird performance, on PX865PE PRO2 at 2.85v can do rated timings error free, BUT on IC7 and 4PCA3+ they can't even with their max 2.9-3.1v rated vdimm applied on 4PCA3+

This has been confirmed as a flaw that GEIL found in their memory discussed in 2 links below but only GEIL memory after August 2003 will have the correct dual channel rated timings!
