after finley upgrading from a athlon 800mhz slot a to a 1ghz axia chip

1ghz axia
kt7a-raid motherboard
gerforce 2 ultra 64mb graphics card
2*30.7gb ibm hard drives in raid mode
5.1 soundblaster
dvd drive
hp cdwr

didn't bother setting up to 1ghz went straight in for 1450mhz (10*145/34mhz).booted up no problem.
used 3dmark 2000 and got a score of

3d score of 9200

runs at 46c at full load

Theres is somthing wrong with your system because you should get a lot more than that on the benchmark

cooling system down by using two ys-tech fd8125 80mm case fans one pulling air in one sucking air out.
cpu fan is a taisol cgk742092 with fan removed and replaced with a delta 60mm fan.
have inproved 3d mark 2000 score with overclocking graphic card by core clk to 315 and memory clk to 500 and get a 3d score of 10001.

would like to know what people have done to get such a high score of over 12000

nice overclock. those axias are MAGIC!!

your 3dmark score is good, don't doubt that. the people with 12000-plus are either cheating or go to crazy extremes to get there. both have been known to happen.

that is a good score-dont listen if you hear otherwise-for your setup thats fine could go higher with other drivers like the 11.01 from nVidia and a little vc overclocking-like the Coolbits registry patch
