planning on buying a new cpu soon, just wanted to know how the Duron 900's are for overclocking. i got my 700 up to 1050, do the 900's OC as well as the rest???

durons are great overclockers, but with the athlon prices falling through the floor, go with a athlon 1000 or 750, they will overclock very nicely and have a lot more cache which will help your system go much faster. a o/c duron at 1000mhz will still not perform as well as a athlon at 750 in real world applications due to the cache performance.

they should OC well but the same is true-bird at a lower mhz will be faster due to the CASH

I think, generally, anychip, duron or tbird could OCED UP to about 250mhz beyond its original setting, with some exceptions of those 600, 700 duron and 1G Axia. So it is safe to say that your 900 duron could be up to 1.15G. I am sure that no Duron could do better than that cut off frequency. Next step is Tbirds which is up to 1.5G then the next range is for palomino, 1.5G+.
