I also have installed two other fans in the AMD 1.2GHz machine to allow for better ventilation and airflow.

Could the Asus PC Probe software give an incorrect indication of temperatures? What is the best software to check the temperature? and also I need software to monitor the fan turning etc - at present the fan turning is not being monitored by PC Probe.

Asus Probe is a piece of crap. The coders should be shot and burned! PC Probe reads temps on most boards about 10c higher than they actually are. Get something like Motherboard Monitor. I find that that program lists temperatures at least closer to the truth.
