sold my MSI KT4 Ultra for £40 and bought an Abit NF7 v2.0 :D but i also sold my 1700 t'bred (sold for £38) and 512MB Infineon PC2700 (sold for £45)

So when i buy 2 x 256MB A-Data DDR450 and an XP2500+ on monday it should be a nice comp :D

will be:

Abit NF7 v2.0
XP2500+
2 x 256MB A-Data DDR450/PC3600 < 4.5Ns chips
80gig WD Caviar 8mb cache
Liteon 48125W
JLMS 166S
Generic 450W psu
Windows 2000 sp2

i'm hoping for 210fsb, which seems a realistic target to me - and i just bought a copper zalman sink for the southbridge. Can't wait :)

nice setup. 210mhz will be very easy for that a-data ram. Congrats:)

lets hope so!! i actually turned down 2 x 256MB Twinmos for the same price (like i see in your sig) but this was PC3200 - hope i made the right decision

let us know,, ive seen people with both, and ur choicee was always the better way to go

i think you would get more out of a 1700+ on that mobo than out of the 2500+. but it all depends on how much heat you want.

other than that looks like a great system

yeah the 1700 has more headroom .
as for a data ram , i think they are cas3 . let me check . they are a popular oem ram here in japan and many systems here are cas3

ok, its burning in at 200 x 11 @ 1.7v no problems, one thing though - this a-data doesn't like tight timings, but i'm not too bothered, would rather have a higher fsb.

gonna be looking for 215 x 11 in the next few days, shouldn't be a problem :)

abit nf7 v2.0 is a great board.
