Hey a just got a copy of windows 2003 advanced server and i was curious if anyone has this installed and running, and what they think of it, im going to install it on a spare hard drive just for kicks to see how the old MS boys are doing...i do alot of network security and server hosting. Any rants or raves about it i'de like to hear, it wont be my main OS heck its just gonna be on a removable HD for when i get bored and wanna keep up on my MS OS's since im sure im gonna need to know how to use it when i graduate.

From what I did play w/ (I had it installed in a Virtual Machine), it's pretty cool, actually. Once you disable all of the XP stuff they left in it, it seems quite powerful and well suited to it's task. It's not a desktop OS, however. There are far too many restrictions, really.

Well, no, it really can be used as a desktop OS. I'm using it right now, and it plays all my games just fine. I have it set up (themes) so that you can't tell it apart from Windows XP unless you know what to look for.
