I have a T-bird 750 that I want to overclock to 900. I say someplace I can't remember where that there is a conductive tape to connect the L1 bridges. Does anyone know where this is available from? Also I would like to know which is the better MOBO.
MSI K7T PRO 2A
IWILL KK266
EPOX EP-8KTA3
FIC AZ11E

I am leaning towards the Epox board because it has a fan to cool the chipset.

Will I have any video card problems?

I also want to use a case that has front USB ports built in but I find very few. Can anyone help?

Personally, I'd go w/ the iWill board, merely because its more overclockable. If you wanna cool the Green Meanie, then you can always buy a Blorb or a Lasanga fan for it. For unlocking your chip, I would avoid trace tape, and stick w/ whats most popular here and elsewhere: Mechanical pencil w/ .5mm lead, Conductive ink pen, or Rear window defogger paint. And most cases nowadays have holes already made for the USB ports, so don't sweat that. Have fun!

Oni, I have a A7V133 mobo and a 1ghz 266mhzFSB Tbird and I would like to know if it is possible with that board to get to 150mhz FSB? IF so how may i do this? if you do not mind me asking. I have tonicom PC166 ram.

Thanks

NO BLORBS!!!!!!!!!!

Read the forums...they eat processors whole.... get an alpha......... you pay for what you get, honestly.

I'd go with the iwill, but prefer an ABIT........ MMMM ABIT :)

Use the pencil trick for short time, and the conductive pen for long-term sh@t...... me out

It is possible to do it, but I've never tried it that high. I always stick w/ multiplier overclocking. The highest I've ever had the FSB on my board is about 147 I think. It booted windows, but wasn't stable at all, which was unfortunate, to say the least. Depending on what multiplier you use w/ your chip, you might be able to get to 150 stable, but you might have problems down the road w/ corrupted data and certain cards not working, and maybe even the ATA100/RAID controller not working. Good luck, I hope that I helped you :)
