p325_nat_353. i'm getting 20 mins per frame. i'm running 9.5*225 at the moment. about 2150Mhz. anyone else getting this?

It's not the best in PPwu. If you micro manage dump it and get a diff wu.
Otherwise it's not that bad and let them fly.

i try not to dump WU's. only if they early end cause i'm not stable. i was just wondering if it's a problem with my machine. i haven't gotten any on the laptop yet.

Nope no problems with your box. These new one's that show up in the client as having 2500 frames take a bit longer than some of the previous Gromacs.

alright cool thanks. it seems it's the nat's that are taking really long. the laptop has an xp2200 @1800 and pulls about 9 min frames on a 2500 frame UNF gromacs.

These proteins vary loads. My 2.24 AMD rig is crunching a p326_nat_369 at 18:30 per frame, but my main rig running at 2300mhz (darn mosfets are too hot!) is crunching one (p326_nat_369) at 7:45 per frame :p

I am getting nothing but 51.4 pointers on all of my rigs off and on (at least 6 per day) and 8.5 min/frame seems to be the average. See my sig for the power. On a 2150 box 20 mins is very bad. Dump the core not the wu. See what happens. I have done this a couple of times this month and each time the times came down to normal after the first frame completion on the replacemant core. Try it. It can't hurt.

My sig rig is getting those too(the 51.4's) avg 7:53 - 8:07 depending on which one.

BTW, sig rig is running a little faster now. 2431 13x187

On the 51.4 pointers, my 2100+ has horrible frame times because sse locks up the computer so I can't use -forceasm, but on my 2400+, the frame times aren't that bad, around 13-14 hours per unit.

At the moment, I am getting about 7 minute steps on P538_BBA_ext, which I believe is a 51.4 point WU

p538_bba is a 500 frame. this thread was about the 2500 frames particularly the p3**_NAT proteins. the UNF's seem to take about half as long but these NAT's are killin me (gawd that was a tacky joke).

more woes. more 20+ minute frames.

04:22:15] (Starting from checkpoint)
[04:22:15] Protein: p362_tip4p_pf1_Mg
[04:22:15]
[04:22:15] Writing local files
[04:22:53] Completed 22500 out of 250000 steps (9)
[04:46:29] Writing local files
[04:46:29] Completed 25000 out of 250000 steps (10)

this is aggrivating. i've deleted the core and got a new one of those. i reboot. i've done about everything aside from uninstall and reinstall.

can someone confirm my times with their own? does the same WU fold just as long on any of your rigs? i'm really getting steamed about this.

bump this back up. also getting 25:14 on p362_gnra_pf2_Mg

This dinosaur is getting 40 min frame times on a p321...so all you guys who are complaining, be thankful you are running more modern processors...
These frame times would give you a coronary...
Fast frame times or slow, I'll fold 'em all...with a smile... :)
