my overclocked slot A 750Mhz @850 is now running
at 32C idle and 36C full load. but it is just spring!!!

does anyone know if the room temp is 20C higher
than now in summer, will the cpu temp also be 20C
higher or what?? if it's gonna be 20C hotter, i
definitely have to go for some better cooling!!

BTW: my case temp is 32C at full load, is this too hot?

thanks!!!

Yeah, during the summer you will definately run hotter....

I have noticed a fairly even correlation between the rise in room temp (or case temp) and the CPU temp. I recomend that if you are going to be seeing a romm temp increase of 20c this summer that you buy at least a window airconditioner.

Heatsinks always retain the same effectiveness regardless of the ambient temperature. Therefore, if your CPU is currently running at 15 degrees above ambient (for example), then in the summer it will also run 15 degrees above ambient. So, yes, it will run hotter.

Even so...56C is passable, so you should manage to survive the summer, and the rest of the year it will run much cooler.
