Best PS1 emulator

Can anyone suggest one?

I want to know because I am moving away to university and leaving my PS2 at home (since half of it is my brothers) but I still want to be able to play my old classic games (Final Fantasy IX and Metal Gear Solid).

I own proper legal copies of the games and I own a PS2 so nothing illegal here :D

ePSXe is the most popular one but PSXeven is good as well. They both use the same plugins. Just remember that, compared to other systems (even N64) the PSX does not emulate as well. You have to really tweak with config settings to get each respective game running how you want it to. 3d games that is, 2d games are a lot easier.

I use ePSXe and it runs fine with the actual game cds.
