I am upgrading my mobo and cpu in a few months and would like someone to look over the system. My planed upgrade is a Asus A7M266 mobo with 256mb Pc2100 Ram and the best cpu I can buy!

Can someone look at this and surgest if there are any improvments that can be made.

Thanks
Ps. My budgit is £420 I think it is $630

The A7M266 is a good choice for a mobo. The ram is gunna run you quite a bit, though. Does that particular board support anything other than DDR? You might wanna consider going w/ about 384 Megs of PC133. That'll fit in your budget, I think. And for processor, get something like a 1.1 Ghz AXIA and o/c it to 1.5 or so. It can be done. Good luck!

Though only marginal, most Abit boards perform better at the same price.
Abit also has a much better reputation overclocking.
